EXPERT ANTI-VIRUS SERVICE
About Avenue 18 Computer:
We have
been providing service, support and
repair for
Windows
based
PCs, serving Santa Monica and the Westside since 1989.
We provide courteous, prompt and
comprehensive
computer and printer service
for
home users all the way to medium sized businesses with 25 or more PCs.
You'll find us to be an experienced systems integrator & builder - some of
our
carefully built computers are entering their 7th year of reliable
service, more than
double the standard warranty life.
Beginnings:
John Compton founded Avenue 18 Computer in 1989 with few corporate
clients
and a lot of home/office users who were in need of comprehensive
PC support.
Starting out as an aerospace technical writer in 1975 gave me the
foundation to
explore, analyze and construct logical flow from hardware and equipment.
I was
expected to interview, observe and author the precise methods for
constructing,
testing and assembly of electronics and aerospace components. After 4
years
of writing in my "too quiet" offices I was eager to get out in the
field and work with
people as well as technology. I had heard about Field Service
Engineering...
I became a Biomed Engineer starting in July 1980, performing field
service
for a computer based heart and BP monitoring company. I handled 24Hr
onsite
service for over 11 hospitals in LA from Palmdale to San Pedro. My desire to work
independently and seek excellence lead me to a Mom and Pop computer
store
in Culver City in 1986 where I learned all I could about the PC
business.
We were smack in the middle of the portable PC and computer revolution!
By 1987 I had left to form my own computer service company with a few
terrific
corporate accounts, a lot of home users and smart older people, strong
coffee,
some brilliant associates
and a lot of flyers and cold calls in the mix.
Soon we had
offices on
Wilshire Blvd. and that led to more growth and more
corporate
maintenance accounts. Since then I have personally resolved over
12,000 computer problems and service calls for a huge variety of
individuals
and businesses. A Pioneer in Remote Support, we developed support tools
and best practices to bring professional solutions to remote desktops.
Today
at Avenue 18 Computer:

Santa Monica and Westside areas, building and servicing computers,

Monitoring your Server

If nobody reads your server error logs - or checks the patch status, then
nobody knows what's going on, period. Someone has to log in and see if
attacks have occurred, if the system is overheating, compromised or infected,
are the Backup Jobs completing, and have the latest Microsoft patches been added.
Perhaps you need to consider remote server monitoring services?
